Here in Atlanta we have an establishment that caters to ladies and gentlemen who appreciate masculine physical fitness and rhythmic ability. The venue is colloquially referred to as "The Northside Ballet."
That's where I could be found last night... giving dollars to a young man mostly dressed as Indiana Jones.
Paying for it a little this morning... figuratively and literally. Between the cabs and the cover and the $5.50 beers and the tipping (OH THE TIPPING) I definitely spent some coin. Sooooo worth it though. Indiana Jones was SO worth it.
So yeah... I went to a strip club... it was Halloween, I'm on vacation and even had "P's" blessing. I had a great time, hung out with friends I haven't been able to spend much time with lately, played it totally safe by not driving...
Why then do I feel so stupid this morning?

Condo,
Having a bit of fun is always part of life my friend. The main thing is that you enjoyed yourself. And there's definitely no need to feel stupid...more men have been to strip clubs than they have been with their wives nowadays lol!
Have a great day mate,
Kev in NZ
PS i agree with my fellow NZ bloggers comments on halloween peaking here. It may have just lost momentum. And no i didnt wear a costume. The evenings stay light til 8.30pm now and i'd only dare wear one after dark!
You ask yourself why you feel so stupid -- you played it smart with the cab!! So what if you are out a few $$, the memories are priceless!
TheHusband went out to the local place, I'm sure there were strippers there.
Personally, I stayed home and chatted with Sorted. I may have had a better time, and it cost me nothing.
Of course, it cost Sorted his dignity, but there is nothing new with that.
I don't think you should feel stupid. It was something a little out of the ordinary for you (even out of your comfort zone?) but sounds pretty damn fun. I'd probably feel a little sheepish, but oh well ...
so that was you? You liked my Indiana Jones outfit? Great, I'll wear that again....
...because you didn't write your phone number on one of the tips?
i've been there... the northside ballet, that's priceless!!!
Kevin - good point!
Sorted - the things I DO remember are indeed priceless!
Matt - the sheepishness goes away after you part with that first buck!
Dean - Marry Me.
Joe - He was 25... I'm officially a dirty old man.
DBV - if you ever want to go again, let me know... I'll take out a loan or something.
